Last week we held a Projects night where we approved 12 upcoming events and projects. It is important that all of our club members understand what we are doing and why and have the opportunity for input.
One of the events we discussed will be on 12 September when we are going to fire up the BBQ at Quinn's Place and feed the young people and let them know a little about what we do at Rotary.

When discussing the youth projects, Peter Wiltshire filled us in on the continued development of the BGS Interact Club and their attendance at the recent District Interact Conference.
After a very successful BBQ at Bunnings last weekend, the members and Club Board agreed to provide $1,375 to Wheelchairs for Kids which will purchase five wheelchairs and certainly change the lives of the recipients.
We discussed branding and how important it is to be creating consistent and engaging messaging and we will be working with Julian Inglese from Promo Movie Productions to achieve this with our banners and C4C cages for starters. Julian designed our Containers 4 Communities imagery and branding.
The Club has also been asked if we wish to make any nominations for the Australia Day Awards. This can be done as a club or by individuals and has categories for Event of the Year, Citizen of the Year and Junior Citizen of the Year, so please if you have any suggestions we can discuss on Monday.
Next Monday we are having a Membership Meeting which will be led by Mark Dobson, our Chair of Membership - so please come ready to give your input and remember to bring ideas for social events.
