"Mount Martha Rotary is a group of dedicated volunteers who believe in service above self and building community. We are involved in a diverse range of activities that strive to improve life for others."
It's always a great pleasure to induct a new member and last Monday night we inducted Sharon Forrest.
We wasted no time in “getting to know more” about Sharon as she gave her bio, part one! Sharon was introduced to the Club by Councillor Anthony Marsh and also Mary McIntyre.
Sharon kept us entertained with her life stories, her years in corporate textile sales where she got to travel the world business class to go shopping. But all of her travels haven't been in luxury, with a love of sailing which has included crewing so far out to sea there were no birds and traveling to volunteer in third world countries.
We heard about Sharon's drive and determination with the Save Birdrock Stairs campaign with work commencing there this past week.
The main thing that came across in Sharon's talk was her desire to give to the community and to make a difference.
Welcome Sharon to Rotary Mount Martha!

This week there is NO Meeting on Monday as many members are attending the combined meeting with Mornington and Mount Eliza clubs, focusing on the Power of Community, Ranch 2.0.
Please note in your diaries our “Christmas Night” on Wednesday 17th December at Donato's - partners and friends welcome!

Bunnings 19.10.25
The Bunnings BBQ on Sunday raised $2,967 on what was a very busy and most successful day.
Our thanks to Bec and son Ben and Mark from the MCSC who did a superb job helping out - with our club already agreeing to a commitment of $1,000 to the Mornington Community Support Centre Christmas Appeal.

Warlimont & Nutt have very kindly displayed this poster in their window in the Mount Martha Village. It denotes all of our project distributions for the 2024-25 Rotary year. What a story and impact! Thank you to Fergus and team for your ongoing support.
Rotary Traditional Christmas Fruit Cakes and Puddings.
The club is once again selling Christmas cakes and puddings. Those who purchased cakes previously know how delicious they are!
The Christmas cake project is a project of Rotary Darwin South in District 9560. Rotary Darwin South donates the profits to The Rotary Foundation - and Rotary Mount Martha will be credited for the amount that we raise.
Rotary Mount Martha will make a small amount from the sale of each cake which will go into our club account.
Cakes come in a reusable tin for $22 or in a box for $20, and they will make a great gift for Christmas!
If you would like to order, then please contact Phyl Scales - phylscales@yahoo.com or text 0419 138 187 - and payment details will be advised on receipt of your order.
