National Stem Cell Foundation

Last Monday our speaker was Graeme Mehegan from the National Stem Cell Foundation of Australia.

It certainly gave us insight into the importance of the research in this field and the advancement being made in areas such as type 1 diabetes, muscular dystrophy, reversing the effects of heart attacks to name a few. It gave us a great sense of hope for the future and gratitude for the progress and dedication of these doctors and scientists.

Mornington Peninsula Shire

On Friday Wayne Jenkins, Mark Dobson and Anne Shaw attended a meeting with the Mornington Peninsula Mayor, Councillor Paul Pingiaro and Chief Executive Officer Mark Stoermer and discussed many issues.

We spent time talking about community capital projects and the things that we are involved with and the support we are seeking moving forward.

We will give the club feedback about our meeting on Monday evening and we look forward to having the Mayor and CEO attend a meeting together as our guest speakers in the coming weeks.

Bunnings BBQ 21.3.26

Saturday was a Bunnings BBQ raising funds for our Ingin project, and we were thrilled to be joined by the Principal and Vice Principal of Mornington Park Primary School.

The BBQ raised a net $2,157.
