LEST WE FORGET
From President Anne
On Saturday we were at Bentons Square with a sausage sizzle and collecting donations for Fusion Mornington Peninsula and we were delighted that Caitlin joined us.
We are always grateful to Bentons Square for their support and Andrew and the team at Lindens Fresh for the donation of sausages.
We raised $ $586 from the BBQ and received donations of $185. A tremendous effort!
We also sold 43 Christmas cakes and 9 Puddings, which were well received.
There will be cakes and mini puddings available to purchase on Monday night.
This week our speaker is Anthony Marsh who will be sworn in next week as our Councillor for Briars Ward. We look forward to hearing from him. It is really important to have a Councillor who values the unique environment and values of our Mount Martha community.
Over the next couple of weeks we will be starting to put up the decorations in Mount Martha, this is going to be a wonderful gift to the community and has really been embraced by so many people making the baubles. We are so grateful to Community Bank Mount Martha for their generous support of this project.
I don’t think it comes as a surprise how passionate I am about community engagement and promoting our club. There’s something very special about who we are and what we do!

Rotary Christmas Cakes
The club is once again selling Christmas cakes at the same price as last year. Those who purchased cakes previously know that they are delicious.
The Christmas cake project is a project of the RC of Melton Valley in D9800. RC Melton Valley donates the profits to The Rotary Foundation & RCMM will be credited for the amount that we raise. RCMM will also make a small amount from the sale of each cake which will go into our projects account.
The cakes come in a re-usable tin with Rotary’s areas of focus on them for the bargain price of $22 each OR in a box for $20. The price is less than what most of us would spend at one normal dinner meeting. They make a great small gift or stocking filler.
If you would like to order, please contact Phyl Scales at phylscales@yahoo.com or sms to 0419 138 187 ASAP. Payment details will be advised on receipt of your order.
Members indicated that we should buy these cakes again this year so please remember this and take a few to sell or give as gifts as well as buying for yourself. THANK YOU!!
236,300 containershave now come through the OTC since we started and our donor and supporter partners keep growing. We thank each and every one of them for their ongoing support.
Please let Peter or Rob know if you have containers to donate, complete the CDS Tally Form (see link above) and return to Peter Rawlings. Thank you.
