This week we will be
celebrating “2 years on”
for our Containers 4 Community
at The Alexandra Park Pavilion
6.0pm for 6.30pm start

  • A message from President Anne
  • Rotary Mount Martha this week
  • Our 2024-25 project distributions
  • Christmas Cakes & Puddings
  • Containers 4 Community now 575,000
From President Anne

This week we transferred funds to Mount Martha Primary School for the amount of $1,150 for their science program. It is wonderful to be involved with the school and they are very appreciative. We will be setting up a Containers for Community cage on the school grounds in the near future, and we look forward to building our relationship and thank Bill Goodwin for his role as our school liaison representative.

We also made a payment to Mornington Community Support Centre of $1,000 for their Christmas appeal and a further $1,000 for the Ranch 2.0 project.

I would like to share this message from Lyn Johnson, President of MCSC

“We certainly do appreciate your ongoing support, thank you Anne!

That is a great start to the Christmas Appeal, which has just been launched, and I know that apartment 1 at Ranch 2.0 is now ready for a make-over, so I know that it will be used wisely.

Thank you again.” Lyn

I would also like to thank our members who have been involved with the working bees at Ranch 2.0.

On Saturday, Susan Coyle braved the elements to hand out bauble boards in the village. Susan is so enthusiastic about the Village Christmas Decorations project!

I look forward to seeing you for our special meeting on Monday at the Alexandra Park Pavilion at 6 pm to celebrate 2 years of Containers for Community.

Rotary Mount Martha this week

Warlimont & Nutt have very kindly displayed this poster in their window in the Mount Martha Village.   It denotes all of our project distributions for the 2024-25 Rotary year. What a story and impact! Thank you to Fergus and team for your ongoing support.

Rotary Traditional Christmas Fruit Cakes and Puddings.

The club is once again selling Christmas cakes and puddings. Those who purchased cakes previously know how delicious they are!

The Christmas cake project is a project of Rotary Darwin South in District 9560. Rotary Darwin South donates the profits to The Rotary Foundation - and Rotary Mount Martha will be credited for the amount that we raise.

Rotary Mount Martha will make a small amount from the sale of each cake which will go into our club account.

Cakes come in a reusable tin for $22 or in a box for $20, and they will make a great gift for Christmas!

If you would like to order, then please contact Phyl Scales - phylscales@yahoo.com or text 0419 138 187 - and payment details will be advised on receipt of your order.
