Community Bank Mount Martha Grants Night 21.4.26

The Community Bank Mount Martha held another excellent Mount Martha Stronger Community Program Grant event this week, with around $100,000 of new grants announced. This brings to a total of an extraordinary $2 million in grants and sponsorships provided through the bank over the past fifteen years.

Thank you to the Community Bank Mount Martha!

Rotary Mount Martha received a further $5,000 grant towards our Containers 4 Community project.

The local community has been extremely well served by the Mount Martha Stronger Community Program Grant!

Mornington Park Primary BBQ lunch 24.4.26

On Friday a fantastic team of members cooked up sausages for Mornington Park Primary School. The students and staff were so grateful and really enjoyed the sausages and lemonade zooper doopers.

We even had a special vote of thanks from one of the students.

Thank you to Merv Williams for coordinating this with the school and a huge thank you to Andrew from Linden’s Fresh at Bentons for providing the sausages and Woolworths Bentons Square for a $50 voucher which helped to pay for the bread.

A great Rotary Mount Martha team cooking for the Mornington Park Primary School!

ANZAC Day Services

Peter Wiltshire attended Anzac Day services on behalf of the club at Balcombe Grammar School on 21 April and also Mornington Secondary School on 23 April , with Mark Dobson laying a wreath at the Mornington Memorial Park Dawn Service on 25 April.

BGS Interactors Will and McKenzie presented the Rotary and Interact ANZAC wreath at the BGS ANZAC Assembly. Will serves as an Air Force Cadet.

Peter Wiltshire laid a wreath at Mornington Secondary College

Mark Dobson laid a wreath at the Mornington Memorial Park Dawn Service, Barkly Street on 25 April

Jo Lovelock on 27.4.26

This week we have Jo Lovelock as our guest speaker and I encourage you to bring partners and friends to hear from this inspirational woman.

Jo will be talking about the shared learning they do in Timor Leste. Haliku is the foundation and they work with doctors nurses and health workers. They also provide reusable wound care kits and fundraise for them.

Jo is a Mount Martha resident and as a midwife has delivered many locals, she also does amazing work with breast cancer support.
