This week we will be
holding our Committee Meetings

  • A message from President Anne
  • Rotary Mount Martha this week
  • Mornington News 25.11.25
  • Containers 4 Community now 592,100
From President Anne

Dan Steele was our speaker on Monday night, he is the President of the School Council at Mount Martha Primary School. Dan and his wife were both Primary School teachers and Dan was also previously an Assistant Principal.

Dan spoke about the importance of building community relationships  He spoke about the ways that we could potentially assist the school with a “Welcome BBQ” at the school on 6th March, and we will explore this opportunity. The focus for fundraising will be around performing arts with the need for a new sound system and projector and also literacy with the need for more parent reading resources. It was valuable to have some insight into the needs and focus of the school.

Dan Steele spoke about the importance of building community relationships

We also sang Happy Birthday to Rob Marks who turned 90 during the week.

Prior to our club meeting a flock of bin chickens gathered for a meeting to discuss all things Container Deposit Scheme, a valuable meeting with plenty of input.

On Friday a team of experienced barbecues cooked up sausages at Mount Martha Bowls Club, to support “It's okay, not to be okay”.

This week is committee week and the week we are decorating Mount Martha for Christmas. We are grateful for Mornington Peninsula Shire being our major sponsor this year. We will have post covers outside the shops along with the baubles and a Christmas tree in the clock tower building.

On Friday we have a Bunnings BBQ with part of the takings going to support Mornington Secondary breakfast club, as well as a Christmas cake table and then to Bentons on Saturday for a BBQ and more Cake and Puddings on sale. Certainly a busy week.
