This week we will be looking at some more projects and plans for the year ahead.

Thank you for your part in spreading “The Magic of Rotary”
On Monday we visited Mornington Community Support Centre, it was a special evening!
The BGS Interact Club did a fantastic job of running the meeting. We heard about their projects and their personal experiences and insights of being part of the Balcombe Grammar School Interact Club.
These reflections touched us all and showed how much these young people have gained and how they were working together.
BGS Interact President Tin Tin
was presented with the Club Charter.
Peter Wiltshire was presented with a President’s Award for his amazing work with the Interact Club.
Geoff Roberts Thomson Principal of Balcombe Grammar and Rachel Gray, Student Experience Leader, were in attendance
as was Yvonne Frances from the MCSC.
Yvonne from the MCSC provided a tour of the facility and talk for the Interactors.
Charlotte, Quinney and Keira from Peninsula Rotaract were in attendance. They gave us an update on the incredible work they are doing and their recent achievement of being awarded the best National International project for their Nepal Project and best local project for their Toothbrush/Toothpaste project. Our club can be proud that we have supported both of their projects!
A very big thank you to Anne Shaw, Susan Coyle, Rosie and Gulia for their assistance with the food. We hope you enjoyed the tacos, sliders, souvlakis and pizzas, with the leftovers used the next day at MCSC.
Thank you to Gill Gordon for the cake to celebrate Rob Davies 80th birthday which he celebrated that day.
This really was a great showcase of part of what we do with our youth!

Quinn's Place

It is particularly rewarding when you see what Monique from Quinn’s Place had to say on Facebook about the relationship with Rotary Mount Martha and the BGS Interact Club.

“This has brought so much joy to Quinn’s Place thanks to the Rotary Club of Mount Martha’s ENDLESS HELP FOR 3 YEARS STRAIGHT!! We couldn’t have survived without your love and ENDLESS support ❤️❤️❤️”
Bunnings 22.6.25

On Sunday we had a Bunnings BBQ raising funds for RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Award).

Thank you to the team from Rotaract who came to support this BBQ, we raised a net $1,780 plus donation of $58. What a great result!
Charlotte Redey President elect of Peninsula Rotaract - our sponsored RYLA candidate with fellow Rotaractor, President Lily Setnik.

Ranch 2.0 Update 20.6.25

Ross Kilborn from Rotary Mornington - Ranch 2.0 Project Coordinator, has provided this update below.

Thank you to everyone who helped this week .We made great progress .

The outside is much better thanks to Julia's gardening and John's tip run with a trailer load of stuff from out the back.

Unit 7 is complete from our perspective - thanks Keith and Mark for some handywork to achieve that.

Unit 2 is fully painted....thanks to some Nurses from Frankston Hospital last Saturday and some extra work this week by our team.

And Bob, John, Kevin and Lyn have made a big dent on the internal painting of Unit 3 (which also needs the gas heater removed )

We would love to knock off the painting of Unit 3 next Tuesday, so if anyone would like to help we would love to see you from 9.30am. (and if other days or times suit please let me know and we can arrange it. Friends are welcome .)

In other updates
  • the carpet laying in 7 is deferred from today to next Friday
  • Mainline Developments have been down to measure the windows and kitchen they have offered to replace in Unit 7
  • we have a plumber lined up to unblock the basin in unit 7 and a concretor to look at some minor step / path repairs
  • furniture has started arriving and Rosebud Rye Rotary Warehouse will supply more and fill the gaps
  • we are still looking for white goods (Mornington Rotary may help purchase some if we can't get donations )
  • Harvey Norman Mornington and Bunnings Mornington have provided some appliances and cleaning goods

So it is all going well, but after this Tuesday there will be a break until some of the other units are vacated .
