The events last week on Mental Health were certainly strong and sent a clear message that we need to help mobilise the voice for mental health!
The work we are doing supporting Mental Health Safety Net, Mornington Community Support Centre and Fusion are just so vital! The issues of homelessness and mental well-being are often intertwined.
We bring a little hope to the world for our community.
The Balcombe Interact is holding it’s first fundraising event on Friday with a sausage sizzle and a Lego guessing game, we wish them well with this, they are raising money for youth mental health as their local project and the sky hydrant for their International project. We thank Peter Wiltshire and the Youth Service committee for all their support.
The Community Service Committee dispersed an additional $1000 to the Mornington Community Support Centre from their budget.
$1037 was also dispersed to the Mount Martha Lifesaving Club which they will use to purchase 3 whiteboards for training and a training defibrillator.
We welcome John Harvey as the new president of the Lifesaving Club. John has had a long association with our club and his daughter Ellie May was the recipient of a Paul Harris Fellow last year.
This Monday is a public holiday so no meeting this week.
