This is an interim thanks for the great work done this week.
It's also a chance to update everyone on what has happened and what's next.
What a great week, thanks to everyone from Mt.Martha, Mornington and Frankston Rotary Clubs and Mornington Men's Shed.
By the end of last week we have nearly finished what we can do on unit 7 (the upstairs vacant one) .
What a transformation.
Mark has done a great job of covering up where the heater was, and with a couple more plaster coats and some paint in the next couple of days it will be done, (thanks to Grant Jamieson from Combined Compliance for removing the heater) .
Ned from Choices Flooring by Smiths is going to replace the carpet as soon as we finish.
And Julia has really cleaned up the garden !
The good news is that Mainline Development are going to replace the kitchen and all the rotten timber windows. The timeframe on that is 3-4 weeks .
Thanks to Bob and John we made a start on unit 2 downstairs, and we think that will be painted over the weekend by another group.
(With great work from Tony and Steve from Scouse tiling, and tiles from Ultimate tiles, the bathroom in this unit was retiled last weekend). So it should be ready on Monday for furnishing (hopefully coming next week from Rosebud - Rye Rotary Warehouse)
This weekend Unit 3 is being vacated and so we will know on Monday what is ahead of us for that . The other units are vacated progressively until October.
Thanks especially to Dulux / Paint Spot (in Mornington Tyabb Road ) for all the paint and materials and their undertaking to do all the outside timber over the next few months
Two other things we are working on, and if you know anyone who might be able to help we would love to hear from you.
- we need a plumber who may be able to look at a blocked drain on the bathroom basin in 7 - beyond the bend which we cleaned
- we are chasing appliances - fridges, TV's washing machines , vacuums and microwaves etc
