From President Anne

An excellent evening last Monday when we heard from Briars Ward, Councillor elect Anthony Marsh.

Anthony talked about his time in the Air Force and his education in aeronautical engineering and business studies.

Anthony told us about his commitment to the next four years including addressing the basic services of council, limiting spending on costly consultants and improving the opportunities for the community to be involved in community capital projects.

With three young children it is a huge commitment and we look forward to working very closely with Anthony into the future.
Briars Ward Councillor elect, Anthony Marsh
On the matter of community capital projects our club featured in the Mornington News with another call for the boardwalk to be repaired.

This week is our AGM and club assembly so please come as we need your attendance and input.

The following week we will be asking members to bring a gift for the Mornington Community Support Centre, teenager gifts and vouchers are particularly welcome. Please don’t wrap the gifts as parents actually select from the gifts.
Rotary Christmas Cakes

The club is once again selling Christmas cakes at the same price as last year. Those who purchased cakes previously know that they are delicious.

The Christmas cake project is a project of the RC of Melton Valley in D9800. RC Melton Valley donates the profits to The Rotary Foundation & RCMM will be credited for the amount that we raise. RCMM will also make a small amount from the sale of each cake which will go into our projects account.

The cakes come in a re-usable tin with Rotary’s areas of focus on them for the bargain price of $22 each OR in a box for $20.  The price is less than what most of us would spend at one normal dinner meeting. They make a great small gift or stocking filler.

If you would like to order, please contact Phyl Scales at phylscales@yahoo.com or sms to 0419 138 187 ASAP. Payment details will be advised on receipt of your order.
What a wonderful Christmas gift idea!
