From President Anne

There is no question how engaging Charlotte Redey is!

Charlotte who is President of Peninsula Rotaract was sponsored by our club to attend the Rotary Youth Leadership Award and she came to share with us her experience.

We were fortunate that co RYLA camp leader Rob Cook, together with RYLA leaders Matt and Christine joined us together with fellow Rotaractor, Quinney.

A few messages that came through were, “you are perfect and have everything you need.” “Write a letter to your younger self - what would you have needed to hear?”

Charlotte took on the challenge to take intentional steps outside her comfort zone and she learnt that values are our guiding stars and that servant leadership was the leadership style that she wanted to develop.

Charlotte Redey was engaging as she shared with us

some of the highlights of her RYLA experience

A thank you certificate presented by RYLA leader Christine to the Rotary Club of Mount Martha for sponsoring Charlotte

This week we will be holding our Club Board Meeting followed by a Projects Meeting and we look forward to your input!

BGS Mock Interviews 11.8.25

Rotary Mount Martha and Rotary Dromana again joined forces to conduct the Year 9 Mock Interviews at Balcombe Grammar School. Convenor Phyl Scales commented that she thought the students were exceptional and that they were confident and well prepared and an absolute delight to spend the morning with.

Bunnings BBQ 17.8.25

The midday crew welcomed Honorary Rotarian and BGS teacher Rachel Gray and Balcombe Grammar Interactors as the Bunnings BBQ raising funds for Wheelchairs 4 Kids, with the Interactors also doing their own fundraiser for this amazing cause.

We raised a net $2,300 from the BBQ with an additional $114 donated.

C4C reaches half a million containers

This week a major milestone was reached with the Container Deposit Scheme - Containers 4 Community, reaching 500,000 eligible containers.

We thank our amazing team of Bin Chickens with C4C Champion Rob Davies and Administrator Peter Rawlings for their dedication and determination. The funds raised of $63,400 make a huge difference to our community and the environmental impact is significant.
