Attending our Community and Youth Committees last week, there is much happening on both fronts.
Community Service discussed requests from various community groups to assist with BBQ's and other upcoming events. There was an update from the Rotary Overseas Relocated Playgrounds (RORP) and how we can further strengthen our community ties.
Youth Service discussed the great things happening with the Balcombe Grammar School Interact Club, who will be attending the District Interact Conference this Monday.
The club is looking at furthering conversations with Mount Martha Primary School with Bill Goodwin as the primary contact and at Osborne Primary with Byron Groves as primary contact. It is a very positive step forwards reconnecting with our local primary schools once again.
Quinn's Place was discussed and the opportunity to hold a Friday evening where our club hosts a BBQ dinner for the young people and engage with them about what we do as Rotarian's and community service.

This week we will be hearing from Charlotte Redey, President of Peninsula Rotaract who recently attended the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) - with Charlotte sponsored by Rotary Mount Martha. It will be an enlightening evening so please be sure to join us!
