A planting day was recently completed at the Mornington Park Primary School. Five Crepe Myrtles and three weeping Lilly Pillys have been planted in the recreation area and will provide beautiful autumn color and summer shade. The vegetables are obviously thriving in the planter boxes we constructed earlier in the year. Thanks to teacher Glen the music and garden teacher and the students who helped with the digging.
With the recent rain these new plantings will begin to thrive. Funding to complete this project was through a Rotary Foundation District grant project application.
